Ultra Music Festival year # 15, omg! Where has the time gone?
Ultra defines EDM and the EDM movement over the last decade and a half. It also defines my March every year.
It has become so much more than just a routine or tradition...Ultra is my yearly renewal.
Those of you that have listened to any of my podcasts will recognize my tag line "get ready to lose yourself in the music, one more time".
After 15 years of losing myself every year - in the music, in the Miami heat and in the amazing crowd - this year it all became clear...
it really is only through losing myself that I have found myself.
When you find yourself looking for direction in your own life, don't give in to the anxious, worried and sometimes desperate world around you.
Put on your headphones and get ready to lose yourself in the music, one more time. I'll be your guide along the way!
You see, unless you are lost - you can never really be found now can you?

Love or Obsession Mix?
Feb is all about love...or so we think. Most of the times what we think is love is just an obsession.
Obsessions pass with each coming year, but love was always there and will always be there.
Take time this year to ask yourself that one question on Valentines Day. Is it really love? That will make all the difference...
If you need some time to figure it out, then you probably know what the real answer is!

What Does Tomorrow Bring?
New Year's Club Mix

Every new year brings us new opportunity. A chance to refocus and grow. A chance to become better than the year before.
The problem is where do we begin??
One day at a time. One step at a time. No hurry, but I have no doubt this will be a monumental year.
Let this be the year that we focus on the "small things" everyday...the details, the specific conversations, the little gestures, the moments of the day.
What will tomorrow bring?? I can't answer that. But this year let's not miss today worrying about it.
This may not be an easy thing to do for some, but I'm sure we'll all be better for even trying.
For the times that I start to get off track, it will be easy for me to get back on course...
all I have to do is put the headphones back on, and lose myself in the music one more time.

Some Nights Mix

One of the biggest releases in mainstream music in 2012 was Some Nights by Fun.
Every time i hear that song it makes me ask myself... What do I stand for? What do I stand for?
and just like the song: Most nights, I don't know anymore....
That's what makes music so powerful. It moves our body, it gets in our mind, it leads the spirit.
Even if you don't hear from me for a while you'll know where I always will go back to... to putting on my headphones and losing myself in the music - one more time.

Forever Young Mix

Music is the key! It is the lost Fountain of Youth that has been long searched for, but was right here all along!
For those that have followed my music over the years you have seen glimpses of old mixed with the new.
Flashbacks of the past, woven into the current reality. While the list of genres continues to grow every year,
the way the music moves you is still the same - whether its Motown or dub step or vocal trance.
The years may pass, but the music remains frozen in its time, and we are brought back to that place in time every time we listen.
When ever I get to feeling my years, I just put on my headphones and lose myself in the music - one more time.

Suddenly Summer Club Mix

Where does the time go? I was just posting the December 2011 podcast - and here we are already...suddenly summer.
It's amazing how fast the pace of life has gotten. If you need a reminder, just check out any of the stores at your local mall...they're already putting up their back-to-school displays!
Before it's gone, find yourself some time for your own self this summer! For me, it's easy. All i have to do is put on my headphones, turn up the volume, and lose myself in the music - one more time.

It's always darkest before the dawn - believe me! I've been there so many times, in so many different ways!
Whether that's waking up and getting out of a sleeping bag in Alaska to see the sun come up behind Mt. McKinley or whether it's just getting through another day in the life.
When you don't know where to turn, sometimes the music helps you find your way...one day at a time.

Coming Home Mix
Every March marks the return of Ultra Music Festival and Winter Music Conference to Miami.
This of course means it's time for my return to my home away from home!
Ultra is an unforgettable experience every year - and this year proved to be no exception!
Above & Beyond kicked things off on Thursday, with 3 full days of music that followed.
